Progress
  • Basics - Continue to work on flow from one strike/kick to the next.

    • ninjas - keep strikes basic without detail of targeting -- add more excitement to voice. think of edutainment where you educate and entertain the little ones. Always work on keeping this group engaged

    • juniors - work on keeping this group more of coaching and more motivating -- expectation of effort.  Providing feedback to this group

    • teen/adults - work on flow and building confidence with demonstration

  • Warmups - Used good voice and encouraging students to get their mindset ready for class.

    • ninjas - pure engagement with this group. they love their warmups.  this segment is getting them ready to follow instructions and body coordination

    • juniors - did great with her voice - you can work on moving around the room - one location area to the next all while keeping them pumped.  some students like warmups while others can't wait for it to end!  importance of coaching them as a group.

  • Stretching - used good stretches -- working on flow from one stretch to the next

    • ninjas - we tend to keep the same stretches because they are very routine people

    • juniors - you can mix up stretches.

  • Sparring/Chanbara - Continue to build on confidence calling strikes - pace of matches

    • ninjas and juniors - you gained more confidence. once you call UP - give the point without hesitating and move on.

  •  Concentration at this time is: announcements, warmups, stretch, upper and lower body basics.  At specififc times you will be introduced to work with teen/adults in different segments of core curriculum

  • Clock:  begin to look at clock on when a segment changes - you wll notice there is a flow to this.

  • Energy:  your energy is very positive -- we appreciate how you care about what you are doing!
